But there is a user on this board called "amp" , what you have to do it when this person "amp" replys to *any* topic, you have to reply to the same topic saying "amp test" , the quicker you reply after amp, the more of a chance you get it, keep it up, amp will notify you when you're ready to be a mod

Another test is to read the Accommodation board and try and guess which posts are off topic. Trojan is very good at doing this.

Seamus- there would have to be a new board or a board for which there currently are not enough moderators for us to need a new moderator, in which case we would democratically elect one. This isn't the case at the moment.

No, it didn't become a democracy while you were away. There's usually a democratic process of sorts used, however, when choosing new moderators. People put their names forward and they get the position depending on how much support they get (and if the admins agree of course).
