I have a project which contains some pdf files and I have to be able to edit them. I havnt worked with PDF files before so I dont know how you can access the text and images to edit. Somone said that PDF writer will allow you to modify them but I am not sure if this is true. If I have to buy the software then I will but does anyone know if this is correct?

    thanks
    dave

Infix PDF Editor: Buy for $100, or $10 to remove the watermarks created with the demo.

Check the document properties to see what security setting are on the doc.
Don't forget that the document is copyrighted by it's very existance and you may need permission to use it's contents, if the security settings restrict anything then you should really go back to the original owners of the doc.

If it's a graphical image rather than text you could OCR the doc with Microsoft Imaging in recent versions of Microsoft office or SimpleOCR.
