Act of War Problem

Bought this game for 30 quid the other day and it doesnt bloody work and tried every thing i can think of. Ive emailed atari and am still awating a reply. So I thought id try here

The problem is that once it is installed the computer cant find the disc despite the fact it is in the drive.
All my other games work fine. My PC Spec is well above the recommended and all my drivers are up to date.
Does any one else have this problem or know the solution

is your cd drive a burner? some of the stupid copy protection that companies are putting on won't work with certain drives, had this problem on the 2nd PC here around christmas where the game would install but would not run (it had an oldish cd burner as its cd drive), changed the cd drive, voila, game ran.

Sounds like Starforce3 copy protection, causes the games not to work a lot of the time, legit copy or not.

its a legit copy and a standard dvd drive just got sent a patch by atari seems to have fixed the problem thanks for your help
