What should be straightfoward enough in this day and age is causing a wee bit of a problem for me.

I recently got a new phone and when I put the sim from my old one in - naturally enough only the numbers from the Sim came across to the new mobile. Now the problem is thus ........... I know theres a way of getting all the numbers across from one mobile to another (infer red??) BUT: when I try doing this one phone or the other says "insert sim card"

How can I insert it if I need it to get the new one on or vice versa?!?!?

Excuse my stupidity. I love my technology but phones baffle the f*ck outta me sometimes.

Borrow a sim card for new phone. set memory of new phone to "phone only". copy phone contacts to new phone via infrared or bluetooth. give back sim card and put your sim into new phone.
