Don't think this has been posted yet.

    40 GB HDD
    512 MB RAM
    DVDRW +/-

They're the basics, can't remember the rest.

Have heard a couple of horror stories about the Fujitsu - Siemens desk tops that Dunnes have sold in the recent past, not sure about the laptops though.

If its the Amilo L7300, computer shopper mag have a review from the July edition that's now up on their website (do a search for L7300). Not exactly a glowing review, however at 699 the price is right. Perhaps someone who bought one could add their comments?

Support seems to be woeful across the board for laptops, unless you pay for premium warranties. Anyway, I've noticed that the same machine has been discussed on the laptops board, if anyone wants further info.

I Got one there a few week ago when the first dunnes batch went on sale, and i have to say no problems yet - touch wood! Only bad thing is the tft screen as it changes colors all depending on way you look at it if ya know what i mean, but for price its grand!

Does that not happen with most TF screens?

I don't remember them being that bad Heggie, that black €999 L series (512, DVD+RW, 40gb etc) we sold last year seemed a good deal.

Have to get out for a pint sometime :)

    regards,
the other veggie (yeah, i had to change my nick:))
