Something happened my mcafee scanner, need to reinstall but cannot find cd....

Got Norton 2004, was in German and now for some reason it wont uninstall properly

So! Can someone point me in the direction of a decentish virus scanner (or shareware) until I get something else sorted?

    Thanks

if you want to get NAV 2004 removed, then go to the symantec tech support site and query for RNAV and you will find a removal tool for it

AVG from www.grisoft.com and avast together give great screening, i've yet to have anything get by both.

finally have BB again after taking nearly 2 months to transfer connection from UTV to BT, all eircoms fault in the end.

I dont trust AVG. I use Symantec Corporate 10 (Yes of course I run my own business to have obtained a corporate copy).

Ever since I noticed that AVG didnt catch java stuff that norton caught ive been back to the big boys. That and Symantec is so nice and easy to run an unattended silent install of whereas you have to go and do a re-pack or some other crap to get AVG to install easily.

Why does someone always have to throw that in?
When people ask for a virus scanner, assume they're not going to DUMP their existing OS and put linux on instead.
    WE KNOW!

I use Avast! and AVG and it detects lots of nasties (including the java stuff!!!) that Norton ignores. Avast! slows the computer horribly though...
