    Did you install the drivers?
Creative hardware uses proprietry software which is a pain in the ring. Youll need to install all the creative drivers to get it to work

When I first plugged in my MuVo XP automatically recognised it and I could use it without installing any drivers. Found this the same with any pc I plug my one into.

Whats the OS on your work desktop? If its an NT based OS then it wont work properly afaik.

You're thinking of the high end models but these muvos only use flash memory. I have one and works fine but i spose you don't have much choice but to format it now, perhaps the filesystem got currupt when pulling it out without using the safely remove hardware thing.

Using XP at home & work. Can usually swap files no probs. Also in properties it says the file system is raw, which it isnt its FAT32. It can still play tunes. Could it be the USB connector on the Muvo

Change the file system to FAT, instead of FAT32 (which Windows XP will default to when you try to format). That should sort it out.

2000, XP (all editions) and 2003 are NT based :)

Longhorn is supposedly a new kernel "afaik" :)

nomadworld.com is your friend if you are getting a "file system error" on a creative flash based player
