    From Aertel.ie
The Lions team has been named for
Tuesday's clash with Auckland in the
    penultimate match of this season's
    tour.

Four Irish players will start the match
with another two named in the
    replacements.

    Geordan Murphy, Gordon D'Arcy and
Dennis Hickie have all been selected in
the defence while Munsterman John Hayes
will be the sole Irishman in the Lions'
    pack.

Ronan O'Gara and Shane Horgan will
start the game on the bench.

    FOUR IRISH IN 2/2

    AUCKLAND
Lions team to play Auckland on Tuesday:

    M Cueto
    W Greenwood
    G D'Arcy
    D Hickie
    C Hodgson
    M Dawson
    G Rowntree
    G Bulloch
    J Hayes
    S Shaw
    B Kay
    J White
    M Williams
    M Owen

    Replacements
    A Titterrell
    M Stevens
    B Cockbain
    M Corry
    C Cusiter

    S Horgan

I've highlighted "the defense" as whoever rewrote this press release obviously knows nothing about rugby. I'm assuming that it was originally "backs". Muppets!

Was watching some random news there, and when Clive was asked about Jonny possibly being out of the next test, he said they had Charlie and Stephen Jones available.

So ROG has no chance at a test spot.

    Not that it matters now

And its started, not a huge pile of interest in this one, gonna skip the 2nd half and head into work.

Lions have started well, and are 3-0 up thanks to a Charlie Podgson peno.

Anyone else think he looks like Dan Ackroyd

narrow win, 17-14, Williams getting the try, and ROG kicking the points after Hodgson went off after 20mins

    a wins a win, right?

lions played well in spurts....Referee is a complete tosser as per usual. How he didn't yellow card Auckland player for professional fouls and constant and consistent spoilin is beyond me.

ROG played well but missed tackles gallore. Darcy had his moments and got stamped on the head while he had hands in the ruck....should be a citing. Horgan looked ok too altho his passing was a bit rubbish

I missed the match. How badly was Hodgson injured? Will it give ROG a chance for the bench in the final test?

I was at the game, enjoyed it. Had a very drunken night afterwards. Met Brian O'Driscoll, Hector from TG4 and one of the chaps from Apres Match in a pub afterwards. You can see the pics here: http://www.fearo.com/znaln.html
