Look under "Maps > LUAS Lines" on the dto.ie site. The pdf is completly incorrect it shows the *proposed* luas network circa 1999 with everything linked up and lines running to the airport! (not to mention it seems to stop at dundrum and doesnt go onto sandyford).

If I'm right in thinking that this site is intended to be used by tourists etc.. they should take these maps down pdq and replace them with somthing resembling reality. Really, you'd have people turning up expecting to be able to get from the square to the airport on a tram.

They also have a proposed metro map there. Nowhere does it mention that it is only a design.

 Is'nt the proposed Metro map exactly it is what it says proposed

If you are traveling luas www.luas.ie is your first port of call and is linked from the DTO site. The DTO are a planning and research body not some overall transport body, though one is planned

That plus an 8 km cycle takes an hour and a half apparently.

Some would say that they're engaged in pedalling fantasy, see: http://www.dto.ie/cyclemap.htm

Thats a different Luas line via Rathfarnham. The existing Luas Green line is included on the Metro map. The only map in that section that is real is the car parking map.

See pages 11-14 of "Platform For Change" http://www.dto.ie/strategy.htm
