Ah it's all coming back to me now. Drummo showed a great improvement on his ground game from his previous fights.. Some nice sweeps and did well to get the win.

We rolled up to support Broxson and he looked strong on his feet but once it hit the ground, I could see Courtneys legs go high and it was over from there. Micky Young and Pearse strokes was a barn burner. Those two guys threw down. Great fight! Tom Haddock did great too.

    Mick, new nickname? :D

The Best ROT to date, probably the best Irish MMA show ever!

Thanks to Tim for the fight, he's constantly surpassing expectations and can stay calm all the way. Apologies to anyone I let down by not getting a quick sub.

Big thanks to all the fans who supported it. It was quite clear that most of the fans knew what MMA was all about as there was very little booing or other crap like that.

Of course, props to JK for bringing Irish MMA to higher levels. Thanks man!

As for the fights, I'd rate Drummo's as the best. He recovered well from a very gamey scrapper (who we were all led to believe was "just a judo guy") and then pulled off a submission. After all his talk about standing with his opponent, and avoiding the ground. Drummo's game is just sick!

The Shane almost perfectly to game. Having watched Paddy Carmody and Broxson fight at Rebellion we saw that there was an opportunity to catch Brxson from guard. And it worked out for us! The Shane was thrilled, and as I type, he has his trophy on display in work!

All entertaining fights, can't wait for the DVD, which I know will be quality.

Now to rub more Savlon on my knees, I burnt the skin right off them last night on the canvas.

    Later guys,
    Colm

The Bald guy who lost the decision

I thought the guy with the chuck liddell mohawk won the decision. Shows how good my memory is.

Thanks to Colm for the fight, it was tough as I expected it to be.
The atmosphere was excellent and it's great to be able to fight in front of crowds like that.

Cheers to John K for bringing it all together, it must be pretty stressful.

well i'm gettin better at handling it BUT mick sissy boy leonard doesnt help with his continous stream of non-sensical questions while i'm running around trying to get things organised

I was going to ask someone to post the video of this fight - Stokes took the first two rounds, I though I missed a round in which he was defeated (round three?).
Micky (great fighter) could'nt land a hit, could'nt escape the corners, couldn't get off the mat. This was the fight of the night. Stokes clearly the athlete of the night - putting the Arts into Martial Arts. No one was more surprised by the win than Micky Young.
But small gripes aside - that was a coming of age evening for Irish MMA. Keep it going.

neither me nor anyone from SBG will recognise that nickname - kinda like everybody wanting to call themselves Mr.Black, it doesn't work that way

How about Mick "The Potato Famine Slamming" Leonard?

That makes absolutley no sense? Potatoe famines? Are you trying to reinforce a negative irish stereotype?

Precisely. All we need is your slams to keep it aloft. I'm sure you are willing to take this burden upon you.
