Im looking for some good quality guitar effects pedals, but i dont know much about pedals and i need some help and some sugestions. Can anybody who knows a bit about guitar pedals reply to me A) Types of pedals i should get (eg distortion, delay etc.) and B) the makes or brands of pedals i should get (eg Boss Marshall etc.)

it all depends on what music you are going to play.

there's no point in people here saying get "pedal x" for distortion and it's more suited to music "type A" and you play music "type B" if you know what i mean

Well, In my opinion the BEST budget delay you can get is the Line 6 Echo Park for €130ish on Thomann. Delay is probably the most important/most used effect on my board apart from amp distortion.

If you dont have a good amp though, i suggest you get one before going into effects pedals. With a good amp you should be able to get nice distortion too.

possibly invest in a multi fx pedal first, something like a zoom gfx-1, just to see what effects you use most and what type of distortion....then you can decide on what stand alone pedals you need

A small multieffects pedal can be an idea to see what you'd really want. I got a Digitech RP100 when I was starting off, and played around with a load of different effects on it. Nowadays I don't use effects, but it can be a good idea for you to get a feel for what kind of sound you're after.

Another option is the DDR-6 BOSS pedal, that was my first pedal and I got it for 120 in Musician Inc. Although I've never tried the Echo Park so I can't compare the two, I'm very happy with the DDR- 6.

You cant compare those two pedals for sound quality and features

Why'd you sell it? I want a nice reverb pedal, maybe the magicstomp would cover that though. I want big f*ckers of reverb... like 100% wet!

100% wet = my pants wet...really like that sound.. i had to sell everything to get a gt-6
