Just a quick poll to see what guage strings are most popular on boards. You can choose multiple options if you use different guages for differently tuned guitars.

I'm currently using D'ad 10s on my Ravelle. I've got a set of Elixir 10s inbound with my bro's Music123 order :D. I used to use 9s. I like their snappiness but 10s are more resonant I find.

10's on the Gibson SG and 9's on the Ibanez. Im using Rotosounds at the moment (coz i got loads for cheap) but i wanna switch back to D'addarios. They seem to keep their brightness longer to me.

I use Ernie Ball 10's on the Les Paul. Nice blend of meatiness and playability.

I use D'Addario .11s, the XL ones. I tune C-F-Bb-Eb-G-C and I like the slack it gives me.

I use 10s. I used 9s for ages believing they were a good comprimise between the bendable 8s and thicker 10s, but they just broke easier. 10s are fine for me.

    .12's
    half step down
Not Even Slinkys, as suggested by this board.

Action Slightly higher than needs be.
Hurt Fingers for a month or so, but now grand. BIG tone and great for slide.

Will maybe get a Mex tele just for slide and stick .13's or heavier on it and raise the action way up.

9s on pacifica, 13s on strat with raised action for slide
