Just back from Dublin, long drive home but it was worth it. The event lived up to it's expectations and then some.

Our very own boards.ie residents Tim Murphy and Colm O'reilly threw down knuckle sandwiches in what proved to be one hell of a fight. I was really expecting a classic grappler versus striker match but it was anything but that! Colm closed the distance not allowing Tim to throw down the pipe and took Tim to the ground. Colm consistantly went for guard passes but Tim showed some slick ground work and managed to pull back guard. I think I even seen Tim attemping rubber guard at one point!

Colm seemed to be on top on things while Tim was working well from his back consistently using great body control to regain guard everytime Colm used his slick transitions from takedown to side control and also to north/south until Tim rocked Colm with a hard shot late on in the fight, it looked like Colm was out but he recovered well and went for a single leg on Tim taking him back down. Tim wasn't to be down long however as he mustered up the strength to get back to his feet.

Both guys looked dreary at this stage and Tim clocked Colm with a hard shot again which rocked him. Tim pounced on Colm to finish it who was trying to recover and gain himself some form of control from his back but the ref wisely called an end to the fight.

As a spectator, I felt Colm felt he could of very much continued the fight but only Colm & Tim will know that. I think it will benefit both of them to watch it. Nevertheless, it was a great match and was well worth the 4 hour mixup of a journey up to Dublin. I'd love to see a rematch between Colm & Tim.

I'm too tired to go into any other matches and my stomach is in bits from mixing heinekin with bumpy roads. Splendid work by everyone! I think I'm going to puke up strawberry yazoo and chipsticks. Goodnight.

Sorry Mick! I was too tired to post anything else.

Yes ladies and gents, Mick used some slick single legs to score another win. He had a tough fight against a very game striker.
