    am flying out to meet a friend in a week or so, im just wondering if anyone knows any nice places to go and see :) in Scotland/ Edinburgh?

    any fun/ interesting things / good pubs etc?!

    might be a bit late for you but hope this can be a help:

    i'm only living here two months so its not really a great list, but here goes:

    for bars:

    upmarket type:

    candy bar (george street)
    indigo yard (quennsferry street)
    the wash (the mound)

    cheap drink:
    walkabout (omni centre)
    standing order (george st)

    places to see:
    the castle!
    royal yacht brittania (ocean terminal)
    numerous museums - just walk along royal mile etc.

    really great city, wherever you go you'll have plenty to see and enjoy
