dell ultrasharp 19" lcd

    missed the offer that dell had on over the last few weeks and am not happy.

    I want a 19" lcd with the same sharpness as the dell 19" ultrasharp.

    Has anyone got an lcd similar in quality as the dell.
    I'm sure dell don't make them - so do the manufacturers supply someone else also ???

    just bought a dell system. An 8400 with the 19" ultra sharp. I like it a lot. You should be persistant with the sales guys, I got upgraded to the 942 printer and free delivery thrown in.

    The panel that's in the Dell 1905FP is a Samsung LTM109E4. And it's a genuine 8-bit panel which is what you want. It's also used in the Samsung 193P but the 1905 is a better monitor overall. The only potential issue is the 20ms response time, but I assume you're okay with that. The flip-side of that is you get superb viewing angles.

    The 1905FP was €381 a few weeks ago, €509 now. Typical Dell, it's a lot more now than it was even before the recent offer, but it'll come down again fairly soon knowing them. Worth holding out for if you're not in a rush.
