Ah, so many emotions...chief amongst them mirth. That someone would go to such an extent to impersonate/insult me, find disgusting pics, and post like an absolute t1t...only to be 12-clicked...am I the only one that finds that funny? But that's just the sadistic part of me. I also pity who it was- especially since I know who did it- poor thing Let's face it- anyone with that much time on their hands is deserving of all our collective pity.

I'm also flattered. Someone actually took the trouble to impersonate me for whatever reason- this can only be good for me as I try to sell my book, promote my film, and er...plug my moderator skills. The extra publicity is more than welcome my sad little benefactor

Though that account has been 12-clicked, I know you're reading this with your regular account (perhaps even from that same Cork cafe you posted from). Dev deals with that in a different way. Normally if a work place is banned the person who's causing all the hassle is normally shopped by others in his workplace to remove the ban or Devore has a chat with thier boss (has happend before).

As for the netcafe, I'm sure if they are bothered they will contact Devore to remove the ban as Dublin netcafes have had similar problems.

banning an entire net cafe seems a bit harsh doesn't it?

Are there any decent users of the boards that use that cafe?

Fair enough, something has to be done, but here's a what if scenario.

I get annoyed with the cyber cafe in Maynooth. In particular someone who uses that establishment to post to the boards. I create a new account from the cafe and inundate the boards with spam and porn. IP gets logged. IP gets banned. I win. Revenge is mine 'cos the person/establishment I was out to get suffers, meanwhile I post away quite happy from my own account...

We had a muppet like that a while ago that posted from work where another poster posted from as well. His ip was banned and the decent poster got hit as well. Casualties of war and all that aside, it seems a bit harsh.

On a brighter note, nice one on the editing and removal.
