eMule not finding certain filetypes

I'm not sure if something is messed up in my config or the network, but for the last couple of days eMule is refusing to find any files of type mp3, ogg, avi, mpg but finds any other filetype. This happens even with the most common search terms (e.g. why linux ISOs are so great.mp3).

    Anyone else notice this?

You can find more old/rare/obscure files with emule.

The problem with it is that it takes a while to recombine the downloaded portions into a fullt readable file.

Lime wire is much better & faster. Never seen eMule download at 170k

That's because the download is limited by your upload - eMule has everything and if you leave your PC on 24/7 you will eventually get whatever you want.

On the other hand I've been trying limewire the last couple of days - i hadn't tried it since one of the earliest incarnations when it was brutal - and am impressed. Certainly no harm having both :)

Le me know if your having any problems with it closing by its self... Don't know if its just the pro version.. But there have been a few reports since the 4.8.1 version arrived.....

thought limewire was chock full of particularly nasty ad/spyware? Took me weeks to get it off my pc last time.

None so far, but I'm using the linux version which may not be prone to the problem. It kind of eats resources, but isn't that always the way with Java programs?
