use [.img] and [./img] with out the dots
and put the url (including http://) in between.

you have to upload it to a webserver
sign up for webspace here, and then just upload and link.

You still having problems ?
Read carefully over the posts again, they tell you what to do.

You can't put images from your home PC directly into your posts.
All you can do is put a URL to an image already on the Internet in your post
in-between [IMG][/img] and tags.

What you _can_ do though it to signup for a site hosted on
boards.ie where you can upload your pics to.
Note that you only get 512k so you should convert images to jpeg's and perhaps make
them smaller also.

You should really read the UBBcode(tm) HowTo, and perhaps also the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).
