I hope no-one minds but I have partly plagiarised this thread to start a page on Wikipedia listing all public transport operators in Dublin. The page is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Transport_Operators_in_Dublin

I'd be grateful if people could update the information with any data they have.

Targeted bus search - scheduled services, not tours and hires.

IrishTransport.info now has a Search-for-buses page with two targeted searches:
    • Search private bus companies
    • Search all bus companies

Both include only scheduled bus services (ie public transport / public transit), not tours or hires.

I've now got better methods for managing the list of companies, and displaying licence info for companies without websites. I'm continuing to load private bus companies. Recently, instead of working by county, I've focussed on bigger companies with many licences. But I'm shortly going to start working on counties again soon.

The earlier problems seem to have been ironed out, although it was quite "interesting" doing so. In general, it's good to be as specific as possible, eg search for ALL the place names you're interested in (eg Galway, Dublin rather than just Galway).

I'm wondering if they still have a website. I think your best option would be to phone them.

Where are you coming from? There is a bus from Carrick at 7.45, it gets in before 9am.

Prices are slightly different. It's €10 (single), €12 (return) and €35 (weekly).

    Hope this helps.
