Poker Tracker Help/Advice

I got Poker Tracker last night and after loading it up and importing my hand histories from Party I see that I am a pretty awful player. K8o, man the amount of money I have lost with this hand isnt funny.

Anyway, has anyone got any advice on how they use PT and what they look for when using it? It seems to me that you could spend years going through it.

Also how do you apply it to your current table if all the players are known to your database?

theres a little add on feature, called gametime i think. You can download it on pokertracker.com as well. This will lay the stats of the players onto the current table. can be handy... although it does sorta take over the table...

PT can be used while playing using a program called GameTime. You should be able to get this from the PT website. This works for Party and Pokerstars at least.

UB needs a different program but that's also available on the PT site.

cheers I'll have a look for that over the weekend

I started using gametime for a while and I hate it. There's just too much **** on the screen if you're multitabling and the stats obscure the money players have sometimes. I only use it in the Prty tournies now which is rare because they are pretty awful. They have Hand for hand mode 5 places from the bubble all the way to final table and the payout structure suuucks!!!

Rodge if you don't know why you've lost a lot of money with K8o then you ned to re-evaluate your playable hand strategy. ;) but that's what PT is there for, to fix those hoiles.

I know why I have but I never realised that I had lost so much. Its not that I played it very often its more like when I played it I got done by two pair or a higher kicker or nut flushes. Auto fold from now on anyway.

I'd be interested to know how KQs has played for you. It is far and away my most profitable hand. Maybe its the stealth factor, K high flop always seems to get more action than A high flop.

and another thing(miss colombo!) Don't use the default auto rating ranges...Download a .txt file from bet-the-pot. and use those instead.

These are the ranges with which PT rates players as loose tight aggressivve etc!! The default ones are dodgey....You'll be a moneys bags golden eagle in no time

Any chance one of you techno wizards could post an ABC , step by step guide for Stoopid Dumbos like me, on how to use Poker Tracker to it's full benefit.

I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago, free 30 day trial, but I couldn't make head nor tails of it.

    Very :o

Over time your most profitable hand will eventually be AA/KK/QQ/AK etc. At lower stakes I'm not surprised though that you get more action on K high flops than Ace high. An Ace is the only card fuktards understand.

does this still not work on VC/PP...?

No and it won't for some time. It's at the end of a very long todo list at PT.

It will most likely stay at the bottom of their to do list because VC sucks so much.
