How to get an mp3 file from .wmv ?

    Got a clip with a song in the background that I want to have as an mp3, there's no copyright issues either ;)

    Anyone know how to do it, is sound recorder the best option or is there a way to remove the audio from the video and save it?

    get audacity and record the sound while playing it back

    you'll need the LAME dll too

    canopus procoder will extract the audio for u

    yeah well when he goes to save the mp3, audacity will tell him where to download it/to

    Thanks angelofdeath the audacity worked a treat once I got the volume settings right. It's on the mp3 player now :)
