    coghlac3,

Im not sure on what rules are enforced here on copying Film DVD's but a traight DVD to DVDRW is the wrong way!!!

After a Mod O.K.'s it then people will give you info...but not until then I would say.

If it's not copyrighted, there's no problem. :)

Region free is not the same as no copyright.

A DVD that is Region Free can and normially are copyrighted material.

The reason you cant do a direct copy is due to anti-piracy measures implimented by the DVD creator.

What you want to do coghlac3 can be easily done but honestly I dont think you'll get much help here.

if it's copying to a dvdrw then i don't see how it would be copy protected. there may be something wrong with your dvdr media, have you tried a different brand?

have you tried copying something else to one of those discs?

have you tried burning at a slower speed?

we really need more info on the error and what you are using to copy it (software & hardware config).
