Hi, I am using belarc PC advisor to audit a network of PC's, is there any other free software I could look at.

Getting the info is easy - collating it isn't and that's where a lot of paid for Audit programs fall down as they just won't let you sort or query properly.

    Getting info:-

psinfo on the sysinternal site will grab a list of installed software and hotfixes.

    http://www.adkins-resource.com/hyena/report_frame.htm
exporter will dump text files of shares, drivers and users which you can import into excel or oo or Parse at the command line, GUI's are for WIMPS :D

Getting list of hardware - if you have any app that will do it locally then use psexec to run it remotley.

Putting the info in a searchable dB is the tricky bit.
