Sky Packages

I have Sky digital over 2 years now and have the main package with all channels. I was just looking on the Sky website and I noticed that you can get Sky Family package for £19.50 (€30). All that you lose out on is Sky Movies and Sky Sports. Is this true? If so I can't believe I've been paying and extra €30 a month to get a few movie and sports channels.

So can anyone confirm the Irish price for Sky family and if I still get to keep the music channels, Sky Sports News and everything else but Sky Sports and Movies?

    Cheers.

And thats pushing it. When I called up to cancel the movies, they were switched off before I had even got off the phone from sky.

Family Pack currently is €28.50, but will be increasing to €30.50 from September 1st of this year. This will be with the entry of Artsworld and Music Choice Extra into the "6 mix" package.

I got the Sky magazine today and in the letter provided with it it says I'm paying in advance. Does this mean I get Movies and Sport cut off straight away even though I've already paid for it?

open to correction on this one, but I think they may refund you for what you then no longer get. either that or it doesn't get switched off until the end of month. either way, you won't be ripped off. to be sure, just call them on their freephone number.

they only charge you for up until it is switched off, the remainder is refunded

Does anyone know what the story with Setanta is on Sky

Just switched from NTL to Sky and would like to have Setanta for the Premiership games

It was free on NTL but doesn't seem to come with Sky, how much is it?

Wow that is a bit steep

Don't think it is worth it for the 15 or so games I would watch on it a season, I guess that is one thing I will have to sacrafice for a better quality service

You are right, there is plenty on there that I would watch

I just find it difficult to pay for a channel that I was getting for free. It is just me being cheap I suppose but I can't really afford it on top of what I already pay
