If its mainly for game you would be better off sticking with a single core CPU and spending the money on a better craphics card.

Yea you could do so much better with one of these

Termaltake Silent Purepower 680W Powersupply, 20/24pin

    And how about

    Dual
    Western Digital Raptor 74GB SATA 8MB 10000RPM
    Setup as Raid 0 (Striped)

    Toooooooo much POWER

PS: the GPU rocks Have one myself

    Seb.

No need for 680W of power and a single raptor is fast (and expensive) enough.

Too late to change already for shipping, hope all goes well when putting it together though, only second build to date.

Ok a single hdd would get you by but IMO the exter kick shines through in todays stroage hungry games

    Battlefield 2 = 1.2GB resources
    HL2 = 1.1GB

    etc....
    I got 2x WD-160GB 7.2K drives raid 0 and I will never go back

oh yea the PSU would be overkill but on the other hand very quiet.

    seb.

Sebzy, have you ever read a review of a thermaltake power supply ?

The fortron 400w would be faaaaar better than the thermaltake 680w. It probably has about 200 amps on 3v rail and then 7 amps on the 12v to make up that 680w, lol. never ever ever ever ever ever buy a thermaltake psu.

    I have a Fortron 400w with the 12cm fan.

Honestly though there were 600w PSU's going for less, but I picked a quality 400w product as I didnt want to corrupt my hard drive data as it is far more important to me than saving €20 on a sh!tty PSU.

Never said there was anything wrong with it, but you would get better game performance from a lesser CPU and a better gfx card.
