    Howdy,

Curious if anyone has any reccomendations on how to get a Tower PC over to the Uk.

I have one of those alliminium chieftec towers loaded up with a few hard drives and blaaa di da da da. I'd rather bring it then sell it. Anyone know a easy and / or cheap way to get it to London from Dublin without it going smashy smashy.

whats the charge for the airline for going over the limit? stuff it in a case with clothes and plaster it with fragile.

I took a tower over to london - packed the tower in a suitcase surrounded by sheets and took the hard drives in my hand luggage.

TNT with insurance, and as suggested above, carry the hard-drives in handluggage......
Depending on the dimensional weight, its prob about 30 Euro to the UK from here (I'd be guessing its the guts of 16-20kg).
Some places like Postnet in Rathmines will org the whole thing for you.

Take out the hard drives and pack then properly. They don't like being bounced. If you can pack the computer in a box inside a box even better.
