Bulk transcode to DivX?

What's the easiest way for me to transcode a directory full of .mpg and .wmv files to DivX? Ideally something that I can just point at the directory, and it will do it's job, I don't want to be selecting each individual file. I've already got the free DivX codec.

This is really easy to do into WMV format using Windows Media Encoder, I'm wondering if there is a similarly easy approach for DivX.

Vidomi is a free tool capable of batch encoding mpeg to divx. Stoik Video Converter can batch encode Wmv to Divx, I believe.

Just as a point of note, ASFs/WMVs don't (necessarily) have fixed frame rates, whereas the AVI and MPEG1/2 containers used for most other common media types do; this difference can potentially cause weird audio/video sync, so try one before you do a huge batch job and realise they're bad?

esquier - Stoik Video Converter seems great for the task, thanks. There is only one issue with it - it doesn't seem capable of copying the file names over when converting. Hence I am ending up with just 'video01.avi', 'video02.avi' etc. Any ideas?
