Archiving to DVD - split into 4.3gb chunks?

I have around ~200gb of files (TV recordings) that I'd like to archive off to DVD to free up disk space. Is there any easy way to automatically split these up into 4.3gb chunks? Or a program that burns it all to DVD, just requiring me to swap discs? I'd like the files to all be easily playable direct from the individual DVDs so spanned archive formats aren't really what I am after. I'll probably use something like Advanced Disk Catalog to catalog the discs.

Winzip can be used for spanning disks but never used it myself, the file splitter is a good option IMHO.

That is exactly what I want to do, keep the files exactly as they are now and intact (a mix of mpg, avi, wmv) but organise them into 4.3gb groups for burning - so they can then be played straight of the DVD (in a computer, or a set-top that does file playing.) So neither a spanning archiver nor a file splitter is what I am after. Files vary in size between ~10mb and ~1.2gb. If there isn't anything to do it I will write something myself, shouldn't be too difficult as I am happy with an alphabetical approach: create directory, move into directory first X files until 4.3gb is reached, create second directory, etc. (e.g. I'm not concerned with an algorithm making sure that the files are distributed so as to use minumum number of disks.)

However obviously if there was something already out there it would save me doing this! Also would be nice to be able to back up my mp3s in a similar way, and they are in an Artist\Album configuration; I'd want to keep all albums together.
