Do you need the CD

    Going to buy BF2 asap, just a little worried about the CD cracking after a few weeks (bad experence in the past) so I wondering, Do you have to have the CD in the PC when playing?

    No problems yet, but my 1942 disk also exploded in the drive :(

    You could make a mini image with your original and mount it, I did and it works perfectly.

    mini? as being smaller than 2 gigs?
