Going to see Sligo v Kildare next Saturday evening in Markievicz Park. Will it be handy enough to get tickets at the gate does anyone know ?

It'll just be pay in at the gate. Probably about €15. You should stay in Sligo. Its a good town to go out in.

Will it not be an all ticket affair? There seems to be a fair crowd from Kildare going.

    BTW whats the capacity?

I wouldn't imagine so. None of the matches I've been to so far this year have been ticket and there's been big crowds going to them all.

Don't have a clue of the capacity. Doesn't look like much when you look at the ground from the outside. I could be wrong though because I haven't been in it.

Just found out that the capacity is 17,000.

there are an awful lot of Kildare people heading over to the game. I'll just have to make sure that I get to the pitch early to get a ticket.

going to stay the night and go for a few pints afterwards - have never been in Sligo before - so I'm killing two birds with one stone!

I recommend the Garavogue pub, usually a good crowd on a Saturday night, and then Toffs. Don't go near Envy, the other nightclub, its a sh*thole.

I was at the Sligo vs Longford game a couple of weeks ago, tickets weren't required then, I just paid at the gate.

I agree with Lemlin about Envy. :-/
