I have an old SCPH 30003 ps2 with the warranty already void on it(opened it up to clean the drive when it ate san andreas) I want to play NTSC games(Front Mission 4 and a few jrpg's that never got released in europe) on it, and be able to run disc intensive games from the harddrive(GTA3/San Andreas/GT4 all have problems…

I want to play NTSC games(Front Mission 4 and a few jrpg's that never got released in europe) on it, and be able to run disc intensive games from the harddrive(GTA3/San Andreas/GT4 all have problems after heavy use, i think related to the drive)

So I was thinking of something like

HDAdvance+Network Adaptor + Flip Top Lid as I cant solder and it seems to be fairly cheap

would this do everything i said above as well as work with my PS2 and does anyone have a better suggestion?

id also appreciate it if anyone could point me to a reputable place to buy the flip top(the memtechsolutions sells full hdds full of games, not touching that with a barge pole)
