Was watching an EPT event on challenge tv a couple of nights ago. I only seen it from the point of when it was down to 4 players. Tony G was one of them and he was goading players big time and being generally obnoxious. He luckily managed to get heads up with Surinder Sunar and he was totally in Surindars face as he kept up the goading. Surindar has a bit of a neck twitch i noticed from other tv events but with Tony G in his face he was twitching away goodo. I thought Surindar was going explode get up and smack Tony G in the mouth. If he did smack him would Surindar be automatically thrown out of the tournament?. Anyone else see that spectacle?.

In the end with Tony G not too far behind on chips he went all in pre flop with 8 4
Surindar though about it for ages before calling with A 10 and it stood up. It shut Tony G up for the first time as his ebullience just evaporated.

I have never seen such a spectacle of poor manners in my life! What an obnoxious arsehole! Ok so goading is permitted, trying to tilt is acceptable but Tony G on this occasion certainly displayed disgraceful etiquette. It was not only Surinder who wanted to deck him.. I am suprised he made it out of the Aviation club alive! It would have been a disgrace if he won too. All in every hand (got any other moves luv?) on 10 3 / 8 4 ..oooooh I could crush a grape!

Check out his Blogg here and add to the 134 comments :D on this article

"I have no idea how this show will come out. Will the WPT want me as their new bad boy?

Just so that everyone knows I wanted to win this event really bad and did all I could to win that is within the rules. I came up just short but I loved every minute of playing this final table. I may be rude to you if you are at the table with me in a WPT final but remember, its never personal. Off the table I respect everyone, but when you play with me at a WPT final then its a fight.

The chip leader was my target, and I feel that I got him to play very bad. I hope I was not too nasty; please judge me and let me know what you think about me via this blog as many comments as possible are welcome. All views are welcome. As long as the show was fun for everyone at home then I am ok with any comments and I will leave them all up, just please dont swear. I never ever abuse the dealer or swear when playing. If the majority on here feel that I am bad for poker because of the way I behaved in Paris, then I will change my conduct, and look for help."

Yeah i agree. The face on him when the flop on the final hand didnt help him, he turned white. He said half heartadly before the turn card in his diluted aussie accent "aight foour is a moansta hend"!!!

Tony G will never change. He'll push the boundries as far as he can as long as he gerts away with it. Personally I tihnk its awesome to watch, expecially when he got Surindar to fold the best hand over and over and he might have finshed 2nd but that's 400K and he's money in 5 out of 8 of his WPT entries. This is an astonishing achievement. It's quite obvious what he does works for him. He puts people on Tilt. I would love to play against him.

Ha Ha, Tony G goes down, 5th place finish after talking himself up all night. I have never been happier to see an Australian(if you could call yourself that) loose. I am not surprise to hear in previous comments that your IQ is less than 100, and also that you have a minute penis. "

Youre not joking are you. I just pressed print on that blog article ...24 pages of berating Tony i expected but no the general tread seemed to be 'keep it up tony good play'. I went to the trouble of putting a heavy duty staple through it so i could flick through people teaching tony some manners but after 2 pages of compliments i flung it away.
Nobody commented on his shiit play going all in with 8 4(what was that about) or luckily out drawing others.

I was out on Sunday, but had it recorded and watched it yesterday.
Personally I don't think I could hack playing with him, but it sure makes for great drama laden TV, particularly those last few hands heads-up.

Poker is a game of skill.. You managed to successfully blow that theory right out of the window with your ridiculous J 4 os call. Do you not think it is possible to put someone on tilt without being a completely obnoxious arsehole? Personally I think your behavour was disgusting and if you had caught with the 8 4 I would have packed it all in for a new career in tiddley-winks. Learn some manners. Were you dragged up?

Well said Nikki, that'll learn the flamin' gallah!

He was in the last 3 tables last night and while he was ebullient he certainly wasnt the TonyG from that show. Remember it can be cut to show someone in a bad light (though I doubt much cutting was required!). He's the Player X of international poker :)

I've ranted on this subject before. You should be throw off the table, there's no place for it. The experience is improved for everyone when basic manners (we're not talking the extremes of the vic) are observed, and the game isn't diminished. I would happily ban various fitz players (no prizes for guessing names) for as long as it took for them to act in a civilised way.

Personally, I would agree with Brendan. Theres a lot of things I'll do to win, and occasionally giving a player the needle is one of them but the sort of aggressive abuse that is sometimes dished out is outside the game imho. Maybe I'm dropping money on account of not pushing that edge but I'm happy to do so.

About the only time I get nasty on the table is when someone starts cutting up a brand new player. I hate that and I'll jump in for a good old barney if I see it happening. Manners cost nothing and the best players I've seen in the Fitz and elsewhere tend to be quite pleasant people.
