I hate LAGS...I find they really mess with my head..
blkjckpro35 was the ultimate LAG...Seeing in excess of 60% of flops and coming in for a raise most times..
At first I thought this was a good play... now I ain't so sure...I think I could have made more from it...perhaps risked less...but wanted to really stick it to him!!!

I assume it means Loose Aggressive Gits? Could be wrong though.

    Yeah sorry..
Loose aggressive types...They see lots of flops... and are ver agg pre and post flop..
They seem to make up 40% of players at .5/1 and 1/2 on party..
Whereas they are few and far between on VC and ladbrokes...They tend to be winners...
They seem to make alot of money by betting big on turn/river when checked to..hence my check raise..
But should I have just called his bet on turn??
    Should I have raised less??

It depends, if you wanted to take down the pot right there to prevent him out drawing you to 2 pair or something, then you made the right move. But if you put him on nothing, and he was drawing dead, then maybe call his bet and check raise the river?

People who actually know about poker feel free to contradict the above.

If he is a lag just let him bet into you on every street. Dont raise him. This will get the most from him when he is bluffing or has a mediocre hand.

Was playing a 1 table on pokerstars today, AK first hand, raise it up a little bit. Some guy reraises me another 100 odd so I put him all in for 1500, he calls. He has 36 off and hits a 6 on the flop to win it. Some people can just ruin the game.

IMHO raise all in pre flop is a mistake most times in STT's. Even with A-Ko v 3-6o your only 64% to his 36%. I think all you do with this move is give away your advantage over poor players.

This was a big leak in my game and Since I have adopted a more considered approach I have seen a marked improvement in my results.

Yes you will lay down winning hands on occassion but against a poor player who will go all in with 6-3o you will catch him for all his chips in the end.

The way im thinking is that if he will reraise a raise with 35 off he will call an all in with it, must have been on tilt. Or just a plain idiot.
