    Hey all

Not sure if any of you can help me or not , Got a mother board of a friend and it was working fine in his pc when i got it off him . It's a Abit KD7A with a sempron processor .

Fitted the board last nite in a new case i got . Fitted all the hard drives and ram i have which i know are working fine . And a Radeon 9600 se agp card i have . Attached all the cables as to guide .

Also cleared the cmos was the manual instructed . Tried to boot the system and it powers on fine . All the fans come on and the drives spin up . But i get nothing coming up on the screen .

Have done all the usual things like reseat the memory and processor . Tried a boot up with h/d unattached with no memory in etc but no luck . Nothing coming up on screen at all .

Any help at all would be great guys

    Rds

    Al

Sounds like a problem with the graphics card. If there is a series of beeps when you boot this would also indicate that its not working right.

If there's no beeps then it's probably either a problem with the CPU or else a short somewhere. Did you use all the spacers to attach it to the case or does it look like it's in contact with the case anywhere ? Try reseating the CPU again too, I thought I'd killed mine last night after fitting a new heatsink, I had the same problem, everything looked like it powered up but no beeps or display. Reseating the CPU sorted it though.

edit: oops, I see you reseated it already, would you be able to get your hands on another compatible cpu to try it out ?
