Aparently Pink Floyd and Coldplay are due to play in Ardgillan Castle in September, I was told this by someone in Fingal Co Co so it's pretty reliable. I've no date and nothing's been advertised in the press as of yet though.

Whether it is bull or not,

    1. Pink Floyd have REFORMED, at least for their Live8 performance

    2. Those Coldplay dates finish on the 21st. You do know there's 30 days in September, right?

I doubt it. Whatever about Pink Floyd coming, Coldplay have been and gone and I don't think they even sold out Marlay Park. Why would they come back and if they did I am sure they would be happier indoors.

Ardgillan has a capacity for 25,000 and the promoter has a 3 year deal. I suggest you take a trip down to the Fingal Co. Co. planning office and see if they have put in a request for an event.

I'd say Pink Floyd might need more than a 25K capacity venue. I'm no floyd fan meself, but I reckon there's enough out there; factor in that it's ten years since the last tour and that roger waters may be back - that's a lot of people who'd just go for the 'living legends' thing...

No they havent, this is a one off.It is almost certain that there will never be a Pink Floyd tour with the lineup of Gilmour, Wright, Mason again. Even more unlikely is that Waters will go on tour with them again.
And If in an imaginary world they did, as someone said above 25,000 wouldnt be near enough,

As for coldplay what I meant was they will have been touring about six months none stop up till them american dates, they are not going to come all the way back to ireland to play ardgillan.

I heard AC/DC and ZZ Top are going to play :D:D

Yes - so i've heard from other thread from about here; however, having been in the upper tier of the Cusack stand, block 711, I can tell you that the sound from there was abysmal.

Whether that was down to natural acoustics or lousy sound engineering, I don't know...

I'd have put the bold type elsewhere:
