    Ignorant

Within this shape of battered matter
That any complicated thought could shatter
Resides a universe for a simple mind
And to any importance, it remains blind
A shell of simplicity a fortress of ease
Squandering air to fuel it’s disease

Nothing matters in the world outside
This sad selfish state strides to subside
In this less then living, but sadly alive
No hope dying and nothing to revive
But what if just once, these walls would fall
And out to the world it would start to crawl

Dragged at high speed in comes reality
An overwhelming action for the primitive mentality
Like ice-cold water thoughts now trickle
They shock, refresh, tantalize and tickle
Finally enlightened with wide white eyes
It was once everything it now thinks to despise.

    - Sebastian Berkovich

you seemed to have underpinned this 'poem' with a colossal unintentional and quite unfortunate irony
