Wrong Firmware

    Think i've put wrong firmware on my NEC ND1100a. The firmware i put on was 10GE but i think it should be 1.A3. Any ideas? Maybe a flash tool
    Would appreciate any help

    Yes, you can recover the drive. Use TDB's DOS flasher in real DOS: Flasher

    Gonna sound like a fool but i'm not too good with dos. Is there a windows app maybe. Cheers for the help though

    I dont know of any tools that have a GUI but u can try Binflash, it works with the command prompt just follow the instructions on the binflash page.

    Its honestly not that difficult just take your time.

    Edit: Sorry there is a GUI version d/load here

    I have a 1100a too, read alot of articles about re-flashing the drive, You know you can re-flash the 1100a to make it a 1300? Worked for me, now I can burn onto many extra types of media (Enabled the drive to burn + & - media) and at faster speeds.
    haven't had any probs with it since

    google for 1100a flashed to 1300
