Mixing Engine Oil

    Just wondering if its ok to mix semi synthetic and mineral petrol engine oil? Need a topup but couldnt get any semi synthetic at the weekend (which is wat i have been using previously) Had to but mineral instead.....

    It usually says on the oil container itself whether it can be mixed with other types of oil. But, what you should be looking at is the owners manual for the car, and see what oil they recommend. Mineral oil is generally only used in older cars.

    Unless you're driving a Ferrari etc, I would'nt worry!
