    cheers for those, glad you enjoyed, it really is Mecca for petrolheads.

    was the rally stage any good this year, it can be a bit hit and miss, and any decent flyovers?? nothing more impressive than a large airliner on a serious bank!!

    we'vve beena few times, going back next year I hope

    TBH We never made it up the hill to the rally part. There was simply too many other things to look at.

    always make a weekend of it, its the only way, the firday is pure class, you can have a decent wander int eh paddock and get a nice seat for the auction.

    loads of camping withing 20 minutes of goodwood and about chichester which is a fab place. (nice mexican place by the river)

    I got a good deal in Jurys in Southampton. However theres nothing much in Southampton. Jurys was fine, but I think in future I'd stay somewhere else with a bit more life.

    ya gotta camp - no point in hotelling it to be an hours drive away!!! Chichester is really lovely (in the dry)

    that said one year (96!!) we had to put up our tent in a boat shed and then float it out into the camp grounds it was THAT wet...

    I guess that would depend on what you were driving to get there wouldn't it ;)

    good point, we hired the worlds most horrid almera 2 years ago...never ever ever again will my backside sit ina a nissan family car!! it was brand new 13 miles on teh clock when we got it - awful. so what were ay driving!! the carpark is usually almost as intereting as the show!!
