There are loads of them, Realex for one.

Or you could take the details, save them, and input them manually. But this is the least desirable option for oh so many reasons.

no i don't want to input them manually, it's too dangerous rather have it processed straight away by someone else.

A lot would depend on the volume and value of sales.

A low cost option is Paypal, whereas higher volumes might warrant something like 2checkout.com.
    Worldpay should be avoided.
Realex requires that you have your own merchant account.

was looking for a similar solution myself, and i found out the other day paypal now provide invisible credit card processing (i.e. they process your transaction but as far as the customer is concerned, they pay directly to you) have a look here for more details : https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_wp-pro-overview-outside

havent tried it out yet, but i will be looking into it soon

OsCommerce with paypal. A payment module for paypal comes with OsCommerce, which is open source. With the Simple Template System add-on it is not that hard to customize. The likes of hosting365 have it built-in to their control panels that so you just need to activate it.
