i have a problem still with mine! Printer sharing works like a dream but when i try to access files from Laptop to PC and PC to laptop it gives me:
\\PC is not accessible . You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the Administrator of the server to find out if you have access permissions.
Print sharing works with my samsung ml-4500 series lazer but the files just wont work
    somebody help me please

Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on one or more computers in the workgroup.

To do that, go to properties of Local Area Connection>properties of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)>General> Advanced>WINS, check Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP (If you have a DHCP-assigned IP address, select Use NetBIOS setting from the DHCP server ).
    2) Make sure the Computer Browser service is started.

3)In Windows XP home edition, you cannot access the share unless the guest account is enabled.

Have a look at this site this helped me out big time when i had the same problem...

Create an account on the second machine, using the same username & password that you use on the laptop, and give it access to the shares on the PC.
