    its shocking
henson should have been there today
    horgan should have started
leaves them a bit fcuked for the next few matches imo
he, at this stage they wont be able to field a team for the last test!

i think hensons a shoe in for the next test and woodward is gonna get battered this week by the media. His only answer is to pick a side capable of winning and not a side that he is loyal to...

On paper it was a line out team. Byrne is renowned for his good line out throwing, O'Connell and Kay are two of the best jumpers in the British Isles. Just didn't click today, and Chris Jack was immense.

    New Zealand 24 - England 3

    :D

The only good thing about the people being selected that shouldn't have is they knew it and had more urgency to their game.

This is Woodward's comment on it
Moreover, there is speculation that O'Driscoll might have been the victim of foul play, and the Lions never recovered from his departure as they cras hed to defeat.

"Brian is not good. It is a very bad dislocation, and it took 25 minutes to get his shoulder back in," said Lions head coach Woodward.

"I don't think a lot of the team saw it - it was off the ball. The pictures won't lie so we have just got to see what happened."

The spear tackle Umaga put in on Lewsey was horrific. Expected better of Umaga, seeing as he's the owner of a Pierre deCoubertin medal.

Heh I expected more of him to watching him playing in previous matches but he was the most dirty basterd on the field today. AS for the bloody french refree and Linesmen where they the most blind & biased basterds today or was that just me?

Yeah the amount of basic stuff missed was unbelievable.

greencock cited for biting, nice to see he has changed. The two NZ lads have to be cited, just saw pictures of it on tv and it was a terrible challenge.

  • anyone got a video of the tackle?

Grewcock is and always will be pure scum.

Does anyone know where online we can view the tackle???

i saw it on bbc news, so maybe try the website. ITs an aerial view, not great, but definitly clear to see. sky news sport is coming up at 20 past the hour so might be on that.

My only grief with grewcock is he didnt bite hard enough

Omg this is on BBC website
The Lions lodged an official complaint but BBC Radio Wales understands neither Umaga nor Mealamu will be cited.

They better use this as inspiration next week, clatter those 2. Hard.

cant see how grewcock can be then either, there no video evidence of him biting.

I dont doubt the **** did it though, he complete dirt.

BOD "Tackle" was an absolute disgrace! Completely off the ball, completely intentional, It's bad sportsmanship, It's cheating, and it's ridiculosly dangerous. Like BOD said himself, it was a tactic, intentional and planned, and he could have broken his neck.

The "Spear" tackle is banned from the sport for that very reason, and i would have no hesitation in seeing that offence as a automatic 1 year ban from the game, regardless of who it's by or who it's on, i'm so appauled by it.

The rule is there, but not being enforced...unbelieveable...Bo'd may even get wilkonson sceanario now and play rugby when he shouldn't because of demands of club and country, and turn this already very serious injury (took 30 minutes to re-locate it was so badly dislocated...usually takes 5 seconds.) into a career threating injury.

Those lads should both be banned for at least the rest of the tour, and that would be a very lienient punishment in my opinion....shame nothing is going to be done about it

Im watching the match again as we speak and it was well after the ball was gone, you can hear o driscoll screaming in pain as soon as he lands. I agree its ****ing disgusting.

As far as I recall Didn't D'Arcy spear someone in one of the matches recently?
I can't remember if it was Taranaki or Otago but I definately remember him picking someone up and spearing them.
Maybe thats what got the AB's fired up?

Yeah, he did spear someone and pretty much off the ball as well - though it was more of a case of lifting the guy up and dropping him rather than actually ramming him into the ground.

Anyway, he got penalised and talked to for it, and it happened a good few games ago, so I can't see it being too fresh in the AB's mind.

just watched it again, and you can see BOD getting dumped as well as a very audible '****in hell' cry in agony
