    Hi guys,
Just had Sky + installed a few weeks ago, i have had a few teething issues but last night about 10pm I lost signal to Sky+ and the other Sky box upstairs?

Full LNB on/off was reset, power down and back again in alloted time, nothing, phoned Sky who wnet through the same and said a call out was needed.

    Signal Test:-
    Input 1 Signal Strength Nothing
    Input 1 Signal Quality Nothing
Input 1 Lock Indicator Not Locked
    Input 1 Network ID 0002
    Input 1 Transport Stream 07d4

    Input 2 Signal Strength Nothing
    Input 2 Signal Qualtity Nothing
    Input 2 Lock Indicator OK

Anybody have this issue before or have words of wisdom? as i have a call out book for next tuesday and i dont think my little biy will stand 4 days of no HI-5 or Barney?????

    Cheers in advance

that can happen if the dish somehow is moved out of alignment, either by not being installed correctly or by strong wind.

Happened to me once, the engineer came out, realigned the dish then left.

I have also been having problems with Sky signal for the last week or so. Picture has been freezing a lot. When I go to signal test bothe Input 1 and 2 are going between maybe 50% and nothing, quality between 0 and maybe 20%, and both going between locked and not locked rapidly. Don't think the dish is out of alignment, have disconnected everything and cleaned the connections but still same problem, any ideas?

Have any trees grown in front of your dish by any chance?

Jeez dont get me started on tree's. I used to have a great setup a couple of years ago with a 1MT dish on a pole in the back yard.I was forever moving it to different satellites, that was untill next door's tree's became to big.

Now I'm stuck with a mini dish just below the roof that moves every time someone fart's.

I'm seriously considering drilling little holes in her tree's and pumping them full of weedkiller!

    mmmm update,
i think the recent storm may have played a part here as both units are working great, I also switched to RGB connection and the picture improved no end.

Might cancell the call out i have booked,
on the good end of the scale of life, sky have given me a credit of one months charge due to my trouble.

    cool

If they're not charging for the call-out, don't cancel it. Do no harm to have everything assessed and re-aligned if need be.

You don't want it to go off with the first downpour of rain!

Well sky+ man called out and it turns out the LNB and the Sky+ box were shot, replaced both and should be fine now,
