Although it seem inexplicable that this man would not have an email address, if he does, he conceals it well, and does not publish it on the web. He is involved with waterfordcbd.ie, (keep your enemies even closer) he is the Green Party spokesman for Waterford, (shame on you Trevor Sargent) and a contact name for a group known as Waterford Earthwatch.

His name and address are readily findable, but there is no email address!

Good to see someone else get affronted at the carry on of this individual. He is exploiting a loophole in the law, imho, (single handedly sending *everything* to Bord Planala because he doesn't like development) to exert the influence that he never could attain by legitimate means:
    http://electionsireland.org/result.cfm?election=2002&cons=226
(a paltry, though still surprisingly high, 1,361 first preferences)

I can think of nothing at this stage, except 'horses head' treatment that could sort him out.

Time for ye olde pen and paper perchance? :D

    Folks,

This guy is no different to the Socialist Workers Party. He's against everything and for everything.....it's called sitting on the fence. If he (and his cohorts) had their away then we'd have no cars, electricity, gas, etc. We'd be back in the stone age.

Amazingly, when Trevor Sargeant got married a few years ago he was driven from the church in.............a Rolls Royce billowing out smoke!! 'Practice What You Preach' comes to mind straight away!!!! :D

Do a search for him on the News & Star site, or even on google. He objects to *everything* that is proposed in the city. Since *everything* can't be bad, I can only assume that he is either eccentric or insane. Either way, he should be taken out!

He objected to the railway square developement, on ridiculous grounds, when the city was (is) very short of retail units. He objected to widening the airport road, (almost a track) saying that they should build trees along it instead. He objected to a Mariot hotel being built on the site of the old decaying Metropole, saying that the ****ty old place should be restored in all it's tacky 70's glory. I can't even remember the half of what he objected to! He will also, you can be damn sure, be objecting to the new shopping centre on Michael st., which *will* delay Waterford's development by 18 months, pending a sane decision from Bord Planala.

He wants to keep Waterford a medieval town, basically, and can't stand the fact that the people who actually live in Waterford want to have things like jobs and services. The only reason Waterford has anything to preserve is because it was a thriving city for a thousand years, not because the vikings, or the normans, or the medieval burghers, or the georgians just decided one day that they would just freeze everything and stick it in a glass ball for the enjoyment of people living in *real* cities.

Maybe if he gets his way, the unelected, unsupported and much maligned Mr McCann would then be encouraging us to don medieval garb and employ town criers, etc., so that children from Galway could be educated on what life was life in plague ridden times, when we had open sewers flowing down the streets, long before prosperity arrived in 21st century Ireland!
