Amazing, like they say - it's a piece of history.

Although i doubt it will sell, tbh. If you recall, Dweezil Zappa couldn't find a bidder for Frank's restored Strat (which Jimi owned), and he wouldn't let it go for half a million sterling (not sure if i'm remembering correctly here), he thought it wasn't enough.

I think i'd rather see it played than see it bought by some rich asshole who knows nothing about music, who's gonna keep it rotting away in a vault, tbh.

Although, on the other hand, no one would ever dare play it, so i dunno....

Ahhh you'd have to play it... hope some of the mojo would rub off. Jimi's guitars were for playing (and sometimes smashing and burning but we won't go there )... as were Chucks. You keep their memory alive by keeping their instruments alive.
