camping in the car park is crap. They mightnt let you in or out multiple times. TBH its a bit of a gamble. Feck all people actually camp in the car park, while thousands camp in the campsite. Some security wont let you camp others will. Its a bit of a grey area.

There is very little chance of trading it for 2 day w/ camping.

*tbh, loads of people I know just turn up at the main gate, pay a security guy 50 quid or so, and he'll just give yez a camping wristband.

I hear what your saying my friend but what is the actual possibilty of the security guard allowing that. Is there any advice in regards to camping anywhere else. Is there a possibilty of getting in to the campsite without having a camping ticket or paying off the security guards.

Unless you do a runner under the 4/5 fences!
9/10 security guys will swap money for a camping wristband. trust me on that.

I camped in the car park last year, it was great, loads of space, nice and quite when I actually had to get some sleep, and no problems coming and going....... there was about 30 of us too, just make sure its not near a main entrance or gate and not blatant. just put up your tent when you get back after the gig and you'll be fine. I had to go into the campsite with a mate to get his tent and bring it out to the carpark and the campsite looked like hell on earth........ it was way over packed, must be all the security selling extra bands etc?

Head over to Oxegen.ie and you should be able to swap the tickets for a camping one. There seems to be a fair few people looking to swap. :)

If I go camping in the car park how far away is it from the gig.

Carparks 1,2 and 4 are your best bet, 5,6 and 7 are a bit of a bollox to walk a few times a day, 4 is the best carpark IMO, but its also the one where your most likely to get caught camping in...... I was in 5 last year and it was great apart from the walk, there are toilets around the carpark, and they were very clean all weekend?

    you see thats the problem!
Most people will be far too drunk to put up tents after the show.
Most people get feck all sleep because they are up all night drinking/generally messing about.
The campsite that was very very full was campsite A. CampsiteA is "hardcore" :P
While Campsite B is usually far quieter and has more space. :D
