    Hullo,

Quick question. When installing extra ram into your system, does it take up space on the C: drive?? I just got battlefield and an extra 512mb ram and whilst I was playing the game, it shut down and said I only had nearly no disk space left. I had 13gigs this morning defo. What's the story??

Extra ram will have no impact on HDD space.

Try downloading Treesize and see is there anything unusual wasting your space.

could be a weird way of telling you that your paging file isn't big enough (virtual memory) right click my computer -> properties -> advanced -> performance settings. check how much virtual memory is in use. normally 3 times the amount of ram in the system so in ur case you need to set it to bout 1.5 - 2gigs.

some games have a specific paging file size requirement. might work :D

check your pagefile settings, if it's system managed page file then i think adding more ram will put the page file up

edit:// 7aken beat me to it

Great idea. Just found out what the problem is. During Battlefield2, I accidently recorded about 8 movies totaling 13gigs. Can't believe it. Cheers for your help.

It was actually fraps that recorded the movies.

SpaceMonger is far better for a whole drive (better than sequoia).
http://www.werkema.com/software/spacemonger.html but hasn't been updated in years.

There is a linux equilivant and I'm sure it's been ported to windows

ah, fraps, you must have a beast of a machine if you can run bf2 and record fraps and play at the same time without noticing, although if you want to record first person footage thats the only way at the moment, no client side demo recording (bad dice)
