    A quick question

Where would I get a 10-15 metre composite cable - also is that the correct name for it (its the yellow tipped one for connecting dvd player to projector/tv

Tried a search on komplett.ie by using "composite" but found nothing - is this the correct name: "composite"?

    Thanks

Its an RCA lead you want (for composite video). You can use any colour red, white or yellow - all the same. You can use an adapter (can remember what you call them - invertors?) and just extend a shorter cable i.e. buy a 5m 3 rca lead and split it into 3 seperate leads then use the adapters to make 1 15m lead.

    €12 for 15 metres

Radionics are the most expensive around bar none in everything!!!

I'd like 10 or 20 metres of that cable also...but would prefer to get if online an idea???

I thought composite signals went to **** when you go over a couple of metres?

No, not really.... although, 10 metres is about the maximum. It's not called composite cable. The cable, is in fact called "Twin/Dual Core Screened" cable. The cable with the connectors attached is called an RCA wire, and it transports a composite signal.

Incidently, any decent music shop will sell Dual core screened cable, or radionics have it for €22 for 25 metres. It's not essential to get screened cable, but helps block out interference. Dual core cable will do!

you can usually go about 15 metres without any degradation of video signal.
