I am looking for a cheap LCD TV

Anyone know if Aldi/Lidl are going to be offering them soon or anywhere else I could pick one up

    Has to be wall mountable

    Thanks

There was a 6 month Gap in Aldi and lidl between their large LCD offers, so you may be waiting until christmas to see another offer there.

DID sometimes have good LCD offers, but you will have to call into a branch to see what they have (their web site is a little flaky at the moment www.didstore.ie).

You should take a look at the TV section on Komplett (http://www.komplett.ie/k/kc.asp?bn=10448). Their range has really grown in the last few months, and the prices are pretty good (by Irish standards).

    Thanks for the suggestions

Doesn't look like anyone does LCD for under €300

Was hoping I could pick up a cheap one for around €200, looks like I will have to rethink things

Would that work with sky digital?

Going to get Sky Multiroom and wanted to wall mount the LCD in the bedroom

Suppose I could just get a cheap CRT and a wall bracket but an LCD would be cooler

yeah it'll work, theres a composite input on all the convertor boxes so just use a scart to composite lead for your sky digital box, just make sure your LCD monitor supports the refresh rate (50hz) and if you can test it first better again... i had to do a bit of hunting to find monitors that did/didnt work about 50/50
