Its me and one other girl going. We're hopefully going to Dehli, travel around S.E Asia and then onto Australia to work and get some funds. Havent really decided where in Oz but possibly starting off in Perth. Hitting New Zealand too and then back through Fiji or Hawaii and the US. How about you? What your plan?
Good way to be thinking -you do only live once. :)

well i reckon ill be heading the other way (westwards) i reckon i wont get nearly as jetlagged.
will be starting in the states, will head down the east coast, through the south then up the west, honalulu, fiji, newzealand. reckon i'll be piss poor at this stage as america is a pretty expesive place, so i'll work in oz or nzf or 2 months or so.

then after travelling around there a bit, its up to tokyo, hong kong, thailand, and singapore. and whatever else i can fit.

SOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to it, just need to build up th funds. if you fance travelling round the states, do it the AMTRACK way. cheap and comfortable from what i hear.

you're lucky you're going with someone for the company, and safty aspect, but try not to keep to yourselves. talk to as many people as you can. i know a couple of people who went on a world tour, and the ones who went on there own came back with much better stories.

im not saying you're not going to have an amazing time, im sure you will but remember to be a personality whore! :D talk to everything, expierience what you can.

having said that, i'm trying to rope a mate or two to come with me, so to be honest  im a bit of a hypocrit i suppose! ha

    anyway, have a great time!

I'm nearly three months into my round the world trip at the moment and in general I'm loving it! Started in Thailand, travelled to Cambodia for ten days (during those two months) and I'm now living in Sydney with a mate for the next two months. We're planning on getting a van and driving up the East Coast til September then going on to New Zealand and America to be due back in Ireland next April before the 7th. I might yet deviate from this plan though and stick around longer here in Oz/ NZ or both. Just need to get a job sorted now and sort out my internal body-clock (It's 6:15am here and I've been up all night mostly posting on feckin boards!!!)
